In this adaptation from Krapp's Last Tape - one of the major dramas by Samuel Beckett - Paulo, who has just turned 53, re-listens to a tape he has made when he was 33, taking him down a list of memories from a younger self, which in turn makes him confront the man he has become.
Even though over a decade as passed, theatre is only the newest adventure in the long carreer of Paulo Alexandre Jorge as a stage performer. Born in Mozambique, and established in Porto, he has spent his life touring nationally and internationally, always seeking new forms of stage performance and pushing its boundaries. A lifelong musician and writer, Paulo has studied theatre in some of the most prestigious schools in Portugal and Spain, and soon started stepping on the beams of theatres across the peninsula, both as an actor as a director. He's fascinated with monologues about life, of which Krapp's Last Tape is a sublime representation.
Suitable for people 10 or older.
