A leading figure in the Portuguese improvised music scene, specifically in the free jazz scene, Paulo Alexandre Jorge returns to Amsterdam to perform with the all new Jam With Humans Orchestra, a new school of music improvisers. We guarantee you never heard music like this before!

Taking inspiration from monsters of jazz such as John Coltrane and Peter Brotzmann, and mixing in his wider experience in music - from directing barroque ensembles to teaching musical expression to pre-school children - and theatre, Paulo has certainly perfected a unique voice when it comes to improvised music.

With a carreer in teching and performance of music spanning over three decades, he has not only been an inspiration to the improvisational style of the music department of Jam With Humans, but has also influenced the pedagogical method followed in the Jam With Humans music improvisation workshops and courses. That mentorship comes full circle by having him as a guest in a concert put together by the alumni of those courses.
