Our maestro-in-chief Daniel (by night) stands in front of a group of musicians and creates a brand new piece of music for them, which they have to play by the end of the show… all in front of an audience! It’s a thrilling ride, exposing the chaotic process of music creation.

Albert (flute), Daniel (drums) and Anastasiya (cello) play every show as if they had just entered a party – but instead of chatting, they play. This is free improvisation with a purpose. Also, one of them didn’t quite get what they meant of Fancy Dress Party – guess who.

The Daze offer you electronic ambient music, a mesmerising lattice of elongated notes and deep beats, reflecting on their live in Amsterdam as imigrants. Brought together by our guitarrist Sebastian, he is joined on the cello by Anastasiya, on the violin by Alice, on the vocals by Chayanika and on the synths and beats by DJ Dedko.

A group of musicians puts their name in a hat. The, two names are drawn and those musicians have to improvise a duet together. Expect the most unexpected combinations of music!

This is a project on a mission – to find what is the second chapter of human-made music. It’s experimental, from the instruments and technologies they use, to the involvement of the audience in the attempt of creating a completely new musical language.

ASTIRoids are a whole new troupe of freestyle rappers based in Amsterdam. And we are a troupe of musicians specialised in improvisation. We looked at each other and went “we should play together, right?”. And thus, this an upbeat, explosive and fun show was born!
